RETURN & REFUND POLICY

1. Our Commitment

At Renova™, we stand behind every product we sell. If your Renova™ Automatic Car Cover doesn’t meet your expectations for any reason, we will work with you to make it right. This policy explains exactly how returns, refunds, and exchanges work — in plain language, no fine print.


2. Return Window

You may return your Renova™ cover within 30 days of the delivery date, no questions asked.

After 30 days, we are unable to accept returns unless the item is covered under our 1-year warranty (see Section 8).


3. Return Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return and refund, your item must meet ALL of the following conditions:


3.1 Eligible for Return — Item Must Be:

  • Returned within 30 days of delivery
  • Unused and in its original, unaltered condition
  • In the original packaging with all components included (cover, remote control, charging cable, anti-theft cables, instruction manual, box)
  • Free from damage caused by misuse, improper installation, or external impact


3.2 Not Eligible for Return — Items That Are:

  • Visibly used, worn, or showing signs of outdoor deployment
  • Missing original packaging, accessories, or components
  • Damaged due to improper use, accidents, or weather exposure after delivery
  • Modified or altered from their original condition
  • Returned after 30 days without a warranty claim

4. How to Start a Return

Follow these steps to initiate a return:


  • Step 1 — Contact us at support@renovacover.com with your order number and reason for return.
  • Step 2 — We will respond within 1–2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.
  • Step 3 — Pack the item securely in its original packaging. Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the box.
  • Step 4 — Ship the item to the return address provided. Keep your tracking number as proof of shipment.
  • Step 5 — Once we receive and inspect the item (within 2–3 business days), your refund will be processed.


Do not send items back without an RMA number. Unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.

For change-of-mind returns, we recommend using a trackable shipping service. Renova™ is not responsible for items lost in transit during customer-paid returns.


6. Refunds

6.1 Refund Amount

  • Full purchase price of the item will be refunded
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns
  • Original shipping fees ARE refunded if the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective, damaged)
  • For EU customers exercising the 14-day cooling-off right: full item price + original standard shipping refunded

6.3 Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout:

  • Credit/debit card — refunded to the same card
  • PayPal — refunded to your PayPal balance
  • Shop Pay / Affirm / Klarna — refunded per their provider’s policy


We do not issue refunds via bank transfer, check, or gift card unless the original payment method is no longer available.


7. Exchanges

We accept exchanges within 30 days of delivery for:

  • A different size (if you ordered the wrong size for your vehicle)
  • A replacement unit (if you received a defective item and prefer a replacement over a refund)


To request an exchange, follow the same process as a return (Section 4) and indicate in your email that you would like an exchange. If the replacement item is of equal value, no additional charge applies. If there is a price difference, we will collect or refund the difference accordingly.


Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the requested item is out of stock, we will issue a full refund.


8. Defective, Damaged, or Wrong Items

8.1 Item Arrived Damaged (Transit Damage)

If your Renova™ cover arrives visibly damaged from shipping:

  • Take clear photos of the damaged packaging and product immediately upon receipt
  • Email support@renovacover.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos
  • We will arrange a free replacement shipment or full refund within 3 business days of receiving your report


8.2 Item is Defective or Not Working

If your Renova™ cover has a manufacturing defect (motor not working, remote not pairing, alarm malfunction, fabric tears under normal use):

  • Contact us at support@renovacover.com with your order number, description of the issue, and photos or video
  • We will troubleshoot the issue with you first (many issues can be resolved remotely)
  • If confirmed defective: we will send a free replacement or issue a full refund at your choice
  • We cover all return shipping costs for confirmed defective items


8.3 Wrong Item Received

If you received a different product than what you ordered:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • We will arrange free return shipping and ship the correct item immediately (or refund if unavailable)


9. One-Year Limited Warranty

Every Renova™ Automatic Car Cover comes with a 1-year limited warranty from the date of delivery.


9.1 What Is Covered

  • Electrical and motor defects
  • Remote control failure (not caused by physical damage)
  • Alarm system malfunction
  • Structural or manufacturing defects in the fabric or frame
  • Anti-theft cable mechanism failure


9.2 What Is NOT Covered

  • Damage caused by improper installation or use not in accordance with instructions
  • Normal wear and tear from regular outdoor use
  • Damage from extreme weather events (flooding, hurricane-force winds above 50mph)
  • Physical damage from accidents, vandalism, or improper storage
  • Consumable components (batteries)
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality


9.3 How to Make a Warranty Claim

Email support@renovacover.com with:

  • Your order number and purchase date
  • Description of the defect
  • Photos or video demonstrating the issue


We will respond within 2 business days. Approved warranty claims will be fulfilled with a free replacement or full refund at our discretion.


10. EU Consumer Rights (European Union Customers)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional statutory rights under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive):


10.1 Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your item, without giving any reason. To exercise this right:

  • Notify us within 14 days of delivery by emailing support@renovacover.com with subject line: “Withdrawal Notice — Order #[your order number]”
  • Return the item within 14 days of your withdrawal notice
  • Item must be returned in its original condition and packaging


Upon receipt of your returned item, we will refund the full purchase price plus the cost of standard outbound shipping within 14 days. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item.


10.2 Statutory Guarantee (2 Years)

Under EU law, you are entitled to a 2-year statutory guarantee against items that do not conform to the contract. This is in addition to our 1-year commercial warranty. If your item develops a manufacturing defect within 2 years of purchase, you have the right to repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.


10.3 Online Dispute Resolution

EU customers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform:
